Directed by Murali Krishna Tumma, the documentary beautifully captures the grandeur and cultural richness of the Dasara festivities in Prodduturu.

The screening was graced by special guests director Karuna Kumar, filmmaker Uday Gurrala, actor Mahesh Vitta, and actor Viplav who applauded the team for their remarkable effort in bringing the vibrant celebrations to screen.

Director Karuna Kumar shared his admiration, saying, “Documentaries are a way of preserving history in visual form. Many assume they are not engaging, but Prodduturu Dasara breaks that myth. It feels vibrant, emotional, and truly wonderful. Yashwanth Nag’s music and background score gave me goosebumps, while the use of AI added a brilliant modern touch. This documentary will have the reach and impact of a feature film. Congratulations to the entire team for presenting it so beautifully.”

Actor Mahesh Vitta expressed his personal connect: “I always tell people about how grand Dasara is in our town. The festival spans ten temples, with fireworks from Sivakasi lighting up the skies. What we saw in the documentary is only a glimpse it’s even more spectacular in real life. Thanks to Prem garu for taking our celebrations to the world.”

Filmmaker Uday Gurrala reflected on the cultural value of documentaries: “I began my career through documentaries, and I know the importance of capturing truth for future generations. Watching Prodduturu Dasara made me realize the greatness of this festival. The visuals and Yashwanth Nag’s music were mesmerizing.”

Actor Viplav added, “I’ve known Prem Kumar for a long time and always wanted to work with him. I hope he takes me along to the next Dasara celebrations in Prodduturu.”

Jayasimha, who worked on the documentary, praised the uncompromising production values: “Prem ensured high standards and gave us complete support. Hats off to him and the entire team. I hope Balcony Originals continues to make such meaningful cultural projects.”

Producer Prem Kumar Valapala shared his vision: “Balcony Originals started three years ago with the goal of telling stories rooted in our land. For too long, our area was only associated with negativity. Through this documentary, we wanted to showcase our traditions and heritage. I thank my team Murali Krishna, Yashwanth Nag for his soul-stirring music, and Nikhil for the stunning visuals.”

Director Murali Krishna Tumma said, “This journey was possible only because of the team’s support. We wanted to present the grandeur of Prodduturu Dasara authentically, and I hope audiences everywhere connect with it.”

Actor Davood, a native of Prodduturu, expressed his pride: “I acted in Sridevi Soda Center under Karuna Kumar’s direction, and it’s special to meet him here again. Everyone in Prodduturu knows how grand our Dasara is, but now, with this documentary, the whole world will see it. Our town truly lives up to its name Siri Puram, the land of prosperity and gold.”

Prodduturu Dasara stands as a shining example of how documentaries can celebrate culture, preserve tradition, and share local heritage with global audiences.
