ZEE5, known for pushing boundaries in Telugu storytelling, is back with another intense thriller. Titled “Viraatapalem: PC Meena Reporting”, the series dives into a haunting mystery from a forgotten villageand it’s all set to stream from June 27, only on ZEE5.
Led by Abhignya Vuthaluru, a rising star with a strong social media following, the show is directed by Poluru Krishna and produced by KV Sriram under the South Indian Screens banner. The official trailer is out now, and it sets the tone for a series packed with mystery, fear, and folklore.

The plot unfolds in the eerie village of Viraatapalem, where a strange curse seems to be killing newlywed brides within a day of their marriage. Locals blame it on dark village myths. For over a decade, no one dares to marry within its boundaries. Into this haunted setting steps Constable Meenadetermined, sharp, and far from superstitious. But as she digs deeper, the case takes a personal turn when she unexpectedly finds herself wearing the bridal garland.
The series promises to keep viewers on edge, blending crime, folklore, and drama into a binge-worthy tale. It’s a story that balances realism with rooted rural mythsperfect for audiences who enjoy layered thrillers.
Joining Abhignya in the cast are Charan Lakkaraju, Lavanya Sahukara, Ramaraju, Gowtham Raju, and Satish. The writing is helmed by Divya Thejaswi Pera, with Vikram Kumar Kandimalla handling the screenplay. Rohit Kumar scores the chilling background music, while Mahesh K Swaroop brings the mystery alive through his lens. The final touches are shaped in the edit room by Chandrashekar.
