Samantha and Team "Subham" Thank Audience for Blockbuster Response in Theatres
May 9, 2025 The recently released Telugu film Subham, the maiden production from Tra La La Moving Pictures helmed by star actor-producer Samantha Ruth Prabhu, is off to a flying start at the box office. The film, which hit theatres worldwide on Friday, May 9, received a fantastic response from audiences following positive buzz from paid premieres.
On its opening day, Subham grossed an impressive ₹1.5 crore, and the momentum only grew stronger on Day 2, with houseful shows reported across key centres.
To celebrate the success, Team Subham visited theatres in Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Guntur, interacting with fans and going live on Instagram. Cast members including Harshith Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Shravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, Vamshidhar Goud, and director Praveen Kandregula joined Samantha in thanking fans for their immense love and support.
Samantha, radiating pride, called the young team “multifaceted and immensely talented,” and emphasized that Subham is not just another release but a wholesome family entertainer with strong performances, a refreshing storyline, and compelling direction.
Fans excitedly asked about the possibility of a sequel, to which Samantha responded with a cheerful, “Yes!” hinting at Subham 2 in the works.
She also revealed her favorite scene from the film, a heartwarming moment where the character Shravani asks Gavireddy for a remote a scene that struck a chord with many viewers.
In an emotional confession, Samantha shared, “I didn’t want to do that cameo. Even the day before the shoot, I was hesitant. But now, I’m so glad I did it.”
The live session ended on a delightful note when Rag Mayur made a surprise appearance. Samantha humorously recalled how audiences cheered louder for his character Maradesh Babu from the cult hit Cinemabandi than her own.
