Megastar Chiranjeevi Joins WAVES Advisory Board, Honored by PM Narendra Modi
In a significant recognition, Megastar Chiranjeevi has been appointed to the Advisory Board of the World Audio Visual Entertainment Summit (WAVES) by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This prestigious appointment comes as India prepares to host the global summit later this year.
During a virtual meeting with the WAVES Advisory Board, which includes renowned personalities from the film and business sectors such as Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, Mukesh Ambani, Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Mohanlal, Rajnikanth, Aamir Khan, AR Rahman, Akshay Kumar, Ranbir Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone, PM Modi discussed the summit's objectives.
WAVES is envisioned as India's leading international platform for the entertainment industry, akin to the World Economic Forum in Davos for the economic sector. The summit aims to position India as a global leader in entertainment, creativity, and culture.
Expressing his appreciation, Chiranjeevi took to social media, stating, “Thank you Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji for this honour. It was a privilege to be part of the WAVES Advisory Board and share insights with such esteemed members. I am confident that WAVES, a visionary initiative of Shri Modi ji, will elevate India’s ‘SOFT POWER’ on the global stage. Exciting developments are on the horizon!”
PM Modi later tweeted about the meeting, highlighting the valuable contributions made by the board members towards making India a premier entertainment hub.
With WAVES on the horizon, the initiative is poised to open new avenues for the Indian entertainment industry on the world stage.
