I Am Super Confident About Daaku Maharaaj:Shraddha Srinath

“I Am Super Confident About Daaku Maharaaj” – Shraddha Srinath

Q: You’ve been in the industry for over a decade, working with multiple stars across languages. What’s unique about Nandamuri Balakrishna?

Shraddha Srinath: Despite his decades of experience, Balakrishna sir approaches every project with a sense of curiosity and innocence. He genuinely listens to the director without any starry inhibitions and fully surrenders to their vision. That level of humility and trust is rare for a star of his stature.

Q: How did you feel when you were offered a role in Daaku Maharaaj?

Shraddha Srinath: Most of my previous films have been subtle, serious, or in the thriller genre. But Daaku Maharaaj is entirely different. Being part of a Balakrishna film is a huge deal—it means the world is watching. It’s a golden opportunity to showcase my talent to a wider audience, and I see it as a do-or-die moment. I’m determined to give it my all.

Q: Can you tell us about your character?

Shraddha Srinath: I play Nandini, a poised yet brave woman who knows when to speak and how to stand her ground. My character has a lot of emotional depth. Commercial films often focus more on appearances, with limited scope for performance, but this role allowed me to balance both. It was a challenging and immensely rewarding experience.

Q: Did you have any reference points for your character?

Shraddha Srinath: Bobby garu (director Bobby Kolli) had a clear vision for Nandini’s on-screen presence. We invested a lot of time in the look and costumes, ensuring every detail from the fabrics to the nail polish—was in sync with her character.

Q: Do you believe Daaku Maharaaj will impact your career?

Shraddha Srinath: I’m absolutely confident about this film. I truly believe it will leave a lasting, positive impact on my career.

Q: Did you dub for your role?

Shraddha Srinath: Yes, I did.

Q: How was your experience working with Balakrishna?

Shraddha Srinath: His energy is unmatched—it surpasses all of ours combined. Off-camera, he’s incredibly lighthearted, often joking around. He even asked me to call him “Bala” instead of “sir,” though I couldn’t bring myself to do it! On set, he switches to his character effortlessly, and it’s fascinating to watch.

Q: How does it feel to work with Sithara Entertainments again after Jersey?

Shraddha Srinath: Sithara Entertainments gave me one of the most memorable films of my career with Jersey. To collaborate with them again for Daaku Maharaaj feels like a privilege. They have immense trust in me, and I’m grateful for that. Their film lineup always strikes the perfect balance between content and entertainment, and I hope to work with them on many more projects.

Q: Tell us about your experience with Bobby Kolli.

Shraddha Srinath: Bobby garu is incredibly passionate and has an exceptional understanding of acting. I often joke with him that I’d like to take acting lessons from him! At first, I wasn’t sure if I could pull off this character, but I trusted his vision and followed his guidance. I’ll always be thankful for his faith in me—it made all the difference.
