 Anil Ravipudi Celebrates a Decade of Direction: A Journey of Success and Gratitude

In a recent press conference, celebrated director Anil Ravipudi reflected on his tenyear journey in the film industry, expressing immense gratitude towards the audience for their unwavering support throughout his career. He stated, “Every film has been a wonderful experience, and I owe my success to the audience, who have supported me through every step of the way. With 'Sankranti Ki Vastunnam,' released this Pongal, I believe we are creating history.

As he approaches the milestone of a decade in direction, Anil Ravipudi shared his experiences, emphasizing that he has only witnessed highs, thanks to the audience's support. He expressed heartfelt thanks for the incredible success of 'Sankranti Ki Vastunnam,' which has already garnered impressive box office numbers, including a remarkable share of 100 crores within six days. “This is not just a regular success; it’s a historical moment in my career,” he said.

When asked about his initial goals as a director, Anil Ravipudi mentioned that becoming a director was always his dream, which was fulfilled with his debut film, 'Patas.' He considers every subsequent achievement as a bonus, with his primary target being to provide quality entertainment that delivers value for the audience's money.

Anil Ravipudi highlighted the special relationships he built with various actors throughout his career, crediting Kalyan Ram for his significant support during his initial days. He has collaborated with notable stars like Sai Dharam Tej, Ravi Teja, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, and Balakrishna, creating memorable cinematic experiences with each.

He expressed deep emotion when discussing audience reactions to 'Sankranti Ki Vastunnam,' mentioning how some fans returned to theaters after years, and the joy of families sharing the experience together. The film's familyoriented theme resonates with viewers, strengthening his confidence in creating content that appeals to a broad audience.

Reflecting on the factors contributing to the film's success, Anil Ravipudi acknowledged the advantages of the Sankranti season but emphasized that the core content of the film is paramount. “While the season gives a 20% advantage, 80% depends on the quality of the content,” he explained.

Regarding the film's remarkable performance on platforms like BookMyShow, he noted the genuine interest from audiences, indicating the strong wordofmouth and ticket sales driving the film’s success. He described the journey of this film as a “wonder” and a case study for future projects.

AnilRavipudi credits his success to staying closely connected with the audience and understanding their preferences. He has learned to focus on the craft, minimizing distractions from external opinions, and consistently strives to create fresh and engaging content.

Looking back, he feels inspired by his initial struggles before making it big with 'Patas,' a journey that has shaped his determination and vision. When asked about the character inspirations for his films, he cited influences from the works of legendary filmmaker Jandhyala 

Anil Ravipudi also shared his thoughts on being compared to the legendary E.V.V. Satyanarayana, calling it the biggest compliment. He expressed excitement about the potential of working with icons like Chiranjeevi and Nagarjuna, indicating plans for future collaborations.
