Vijay Sethupathi, Vetri Maaran's 'Vidudala 2' narrates the revolutionary tale of a common man: Producer Chintapalli Ramarao

The much-awaited sequel, 'Vidudala 2,' featuring Vijay Sethupathi, is all set for its release. The Telugu distribution rights have been acquired by the esteemed producer and head of Sri Vedaakshara Movies, Chintapalli Ramarao. Directed by the visionary filmmaker Vetri Maaran, this intense period crime thriller is slated to hit the screens on December 20th.

Ahead of the release, the makers held an event to discuss the film. Speaking on the occasion, Producer Chintapalli Ramarao said, “The recently released songs and trailer of this film have garnered an overwhelming response. Both the trailer and songs have left a significant impact. 'Vidudala 2' is the revolutionary saga of an extraordinary individual who rises from the common people oppressed by the arrogance of the rulers. This is not a film rooted solely in Tamil nativity; it reflects issues that resonate in a Telugu state. Vijay Sethupathi fits the role of Perumal perfectly. His portrayal of a Naxalite, capturing the character's emotions, is extraordinary. His reputation as an exceptional actor will only be further elevated with this film.  

Vetri Maaran, a seven-time National Award-winning director, needs no introduction. All the top stars aspire to work under his direction. Adding to the grandeur is Maestro Ilaiyaraaja, who has composed the film's thunderous music. A collaboration of Vijay Sethupathi, Vetri Maaran, and Ilaiyaraaja speaks volumes about the film's quality. Action sequences choreographed by Peter Heins are unlike anything seen before in Indian cinema. Manju Warrier's natural performance is another highlight. The emotional scenes between Vijay Sethupathi and Manju Warrier are deeply moving and are bound to make the audience teary-eyed.”

He further added that the film, which will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil on December 20th, is poised to be a massive blockbuster.

Director Konda Vijayakumar, who was present at the event, shared his thoughts, saying, “This film will transport the audience to a whole new world. It is bound to be a resounding success in both Telugu and Tamil.”

Producers Subba Reddy, Tummalapalli Ramasatyanarayana, and DS Rao also expressed confidence in the film's success, commending Chintapalli Ramarao for bringing such a compelling story to the Telugu audience.
