National Silk Expo Begins at TTD

Cotton and Silk Welfare Association organized - a 10 Day National Silk Expo-2015 at the T.T.D. Kalyan Mandapam, Himayath Nagar, Hyderabad. It will be on till 23rd March 2015 from 11.00 am to 9 pm. Tollywood Actress Mamatha Rahut (Pancha mukhi movie fame), Inaugurated the Exposition. 

“Platforms such as this are required to reach out women looking for well-designed handmade cotton, silk wear and exclusive home textile ,“Which can see the blend of different style and concept of silk hand loom creations coming together under one roof” said Actress Mamatha. 

 “Main social objective of the hand loom exhibition was to promote weavers and encourage and provide a market to the hand loom industry. Through these exhibitions, we have been able to create good market for the weavers and their hand loom woven ware, even in places where exhibitions are not feasible. The exhibition motive is got pure silk and cotton products direct from weavers to costumer without merchant” said organizer Jayesh Kumar.

 70 designers and Artisans from 14 handloom weaving States. Exhibiting gorgeous Uppadas, Banaras silks, Gadwals, Dharmavaram, Jamdanis, Jamawars and Sambalpuris. Dress materials, silk and cotton sarees, suits material, fashion jewelry, home furnishing designer clothes in Exposition. Coimbatore silk, kanjeewaram silk from Tamilnadu. Bangalore silk, crepe and  georgette saree, raw silk material from Karnataka. Kalamkari, pochampally, mangalgiri dress material, upada, gadwal, dharmawaram, pure silk zari saree from Andhra Pradesh. Tassar, kantha, Bhagalpur silk dress material, block handprint, khadi silk,   cotton dress material from Bihar. Kosa silk saree, ghicha silk saree, mulbery raw silk, block printed silk saree from Chhattisgarh. Bandhani, patola, Kutch embroidery, Gujarati mirror work   designer kurti from Gujarat. Tabi silk saree, pashmina shawls, chinan silk saree from Jammu  Kashmir.
