Honored to receive award from Dadasaheb Phalke Institute: Alekhya Angel kondapalli
The Corona pandemic shook the entire world. Every field of economy suffered huge losses due to the pandemic. Film industry too faced its fair share of problems. Especially the poor and the needy of the industry suffered too much. Actress Alekhya Angel kondapalli tried her best to help those needy. She distributed day essentials to them. After watching her efforts to help people, the Dadasaheb Phalke award jury honored her with title of Covid warrior Real hero 2021.
After receiving such honor, Alekhya expressed her gratitude to everyone. She also said, "Firstly, I would like to thank God for blessing me with such a prestigious award. I feel so honoured to receive this award. The fear of covid could not stop me from supporting the poor and needy. We distributed food, grocery kits, sanitizers and masks for more than 40,000 people. We Also provided 24*7 doctor support for covid patients. Even though I knew it was dangerous, i went with only one motto, "No one should sleep with hunger." We served for 45 days without any breaks when covid was at its peaks in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Now my desire for doing more service to the society has peaked a lot. So in future the services that I render will be even more applauding".
