G.V. Prakash Kumar’s latest supernatural thriller, Immortal, is heading straight to streaming. The Tamil film will premiere exclusively on Sony LIV on October 30, with audio options available in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Directed by newcomer Mariyappan Chinna, the story follows Magi (played by G.V. Prakash), an ordinary guy working at a printing press who needs an affordable place to stay in Chennai. He thinks he hit the jackpot when a woman named Sindhu (Kayadu Lohar) offers him a room in her swanky apartment for next to nothing. Naturally, it’s too good to be true. Bizarre, unsettling things start happening, and as Magi gets closer to Sindhu, he’s dragged into a creepy mystery tied to an old secret.
G.V. Prakash described his character as a relatable everyday guy who stumbles into something way over his head, noting that the audience unravels the puzzle right alongside him.
The supporting cast includes T.M. Karthik, Kumar Natarajan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Aaditya Kathir, Arshu Maharjan, Pema Tsamchoe, and Sunita Shresthain.
