Sony LIV Secures Digital Rights for Arun Matheswaran’s Action Thriller ‘DC’; Streaming Begins October 16
Having made a strong impression with cinephiles during its theatrical outing, the high-octane crime drama DC is heading straight to digital screens. Streaming giant Sony LIV has officially confirmed that the Arun Matheswaran directorial will land on its platform on October 16, offering a simultaneous multi-language release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Fronted by filmmaker-turned-actor Lokesh Kanagaraj alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, DC dives headfirst into an unforgiving underworld ruled by vengeance, power struggles, and fractured loyalties.
The plot anchors on Devadas, known in the shadows simply as ‘Das’ (Lokesh Kanagaraj)—a renegade who operates strictly on his own terms. His precarious balance unravels upon crossing paths with Parvathy, an artist with a voice, and Chandra (Wamiqa Gabbi), whose daily existence is a ruthless fight for survival. When their fates violently intersect, the trio finds itself trapped in an inescapable crossfire of passion, betrayal, and bloody retribution.
Helmed and penned by Arun Matheswaran, known for his stark, visual storytelling style, the film also features impactful performances by Sanjana Krishnamoorthy, Kasthuri Raja, and Thalaivasal Vijay.
To mark the announcement, the platform launched regional video teasers offering viewers a glimpse into the film's intense, moody atmosphere.
