‘Amma Kanakadurga’ Song Launched in Vijayawada During Navratri

The first single, ‘Amma Kanakadurga’, from the upcoming film Kanaka Durga was launched in Vijayawada during the auspicious occasion of Navratri. The devotional song is composed by Thaman S, with lyrics penned by Sira Sri. Zee Music Company has released the song on its YouTube channel and leading music platforms.

The song celebrates the power, grace and blessings of Goddess Kanaka Durga. The makers chose Vijayawada for the launch because of the city’s strong spiritual connection with the Goddess and the famous Kanaka Durga temple, which attracts thousands of devotees during Navratri and Bhavani Deeksha.

Music director Thaman S shared that the song is very special to him, as he is a devoted follower of Goddess Kanaka Durga. He wanted the composition to express the feelings of a devotee praying to Amma and hoped it would become a favourite among devotees during the festive season.

Starring Allari Naresh and Kajal Choudhary, Kanaka Durga is produced by Birla Studios and Temple Town Pictures. The film is directed by Pradeep Maddali and written by BVS Ravi. Blending devotion, action and emotion, the film tells a story inspired by the spiritual significance of Goddess Kanaka Durga.

Allari Naresh revealed that this is his first devotional film. He also recalled that his father, EVV Satyanarayana, was a great devotee of Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Amma. The actor said Vijayawada was the ideal place to launch the song. He thanked Thaman S, BVS Ravi, Ajit Thakur, Sunil Chainani, director Pradeep Maddali and lyricist Sira Sri for their contribution. He added that the shooting has been completed and the film is preparing for release soon.

Sunil Chainani, co-producer of Birla Studios, said the song’s launch during Navratri in Vijayawada made the occasion special. He praised Thaman S for bringing devotion and emotion into the composition and said the team was seeking the Goddess’s blessings.

Producers Ajit Thakur and BVS Ravi expressed their happiness over the launch, saying they hoped the song would touch the hearts of devotees and become part of their prayers and celebrations.

Sujal Parekh, Chief Business Officer of Zee Music Company, said the song brings together the spiritual importance of Goddess Kanaka Durga and the power of devotional music. He expressed hope that audiences would enjoy it during Navratri and beyond.

During the film’s shoot, Allari Naresh also followed a disciplined lifestyle, avoiding non-vegetarian food and footwear as part of his preparation for the role.

With the release of ‘Amma Kanakadurga’, the makers have officially begun the film’s musical promotions, bringing devotion and music together ahead of the film’s theatrical release.
