ZEE5 Tamil has announced its upcoming original series ‘Octopus’, a seven-episode suspense thriller directed by Jeyachandra Hashmi.
Starring Ashwin, Archana, Vinoth Kishan, Sidhu Kumaresan and Kalaivani Bhaskar in key roles, the series revolves around the mysterious disappearance of a young woman. As the residents of a neighbourhood join hands to find her, a series of hidden secrets and unexpected truths begin to emerge.
The series blends mystery, emotion and human relationships, while exploring themes of trust, resilience and community. The launch promo has already created curiosity among viewers, with fans sharing theories about the story.
Jeyachandra Hashmi revealed that he developed the idea during the COVID lockdown, drawing inspiration from the closed neighbourhoods and the hidden layers of human relationships during that period.
