‘EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER’ Gets Positive Response; Team Thanks Audiences for the Love
Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya, who became a popular pair with Baby, are back together with EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER. Directed by Aditya Hasan, who impressed audiences with the web series 90s, the youthful romantic entertainer hit theatres on September 11.

Naga Vamsi Says the Film Was Made Out of Love for the Story
Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi said the film is getting a particularly good response from youngsters.
He revealed that he has always wanted to make a good romantic comedy and decided to produce EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER after liking Aditya Hasan’s narration.
Naga Vamsi said the movie was not made by simply looking at commercial calculations. Instead, the team went ahead because they genuinely liked the story and wanted to bring it to the audience.
He also expressed happiness over the positive response from women and hinted that the team may consider a sequel in the future.
Aditya Hasan on Making a Natural Love Story
Director Aditya Hasan said EPIC – FIRST SEMESTER was inspired by real-life incidents and experiences he had seen around him.
He wanted the film to feel natural and relatable instead of presenting the story in an overly cinematic manner. He added that both 90s and EPIC have elements inspired by real-life observations, but they explore completely different worlds.
Aditya explained that the film presents a different idea of heroism. For him, being a hero is not only about fighting for someone. Showing care, understanding and doing thoughtful things for the person you love can also be a form of heroism.
