Pyaar Prema Kalyanam to Premiere on Netflix from August 21

Elan and Saanve Megghana’s upcoming romantic entertainer ‘Pyaar Prema Kalyanam’ is gearing up for its Netflix premiere on August 21. Directed by Elan and produced by Srinidhi Sagar under the A Rise East Production banner, the film promises a fun-filled take on relationships and married life.

The trailer was unveiled at an event in Hyderabad on Wednesday, where the lead cast and makers spoke about the film, their experiences and the journey behind the project.

Producer Srinidhi Sagar shared that he hails from Guntur, studied in Chennai and later settled there. He said this is his second collaboration with Netflix after Made in Korea, which released earlier this year. According to him, the team wanted to explore a serious subject through a light-hearted and entertaining narrative.

Sagar also expressed his happiness over working with director Elan once again, revealing that the filmmaker has already committed to another project with their banner. He also praised Saanve Megghana’s performance and appreciated her decision to dub her own Tamil dialogues for the film.

Actress Saanve Megghana said she was delighted that the trailer of her Tamil film was being launched in Telugu. Recalling her earlier association with Netflix through the anthology Pitta Kathalu, she said she is happy to return to the platform with Pyaar Prema Kalyanam.

Speaking about the film, Saanve revealed that the story revolves around the situations a couple encounters when the girl moves into the boy’s house after marriage. However, instead of presenting these challenges in a serious manner, the film approaches them with plenty of humour and entertainment.

She particularly praised Radhika Sarathkumar, saying that the veteran actress has delivered an outstanding performance. Saanve also appreciated Elan’s dedication and his ability to handle both acting and direction, adding that she learned a lot while working with him.

The film features music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, with three songs already released and receiving a positive response. Saanve also credited Elan for encouraging her to dub her own Tamil lines.

Director and actor Elan said that making a Telugu film had been a long-standing dream for him and expressed his happiness that Pyaar Prema Kalyanam is helping him realise it.

Thanking producer Srinidhi Sagar and Netflix, Elan praised Saanve for her cooperation throughout the shoot. He revealed that the entire film was completed in just 32 days, despite numerous costume changes and other production challenges.

Elan also said that the response from Telugu audiences has been encouraging and thanked viewers for embracing the film.

With a talented cast, Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music and Elan’s signature blend of romance and comedy, ‘Pyaar Prema Kalyanam’ is set to arrive on Netflix on August 21.
