'35 Chinna Katha Kaadu' National Award Winners Honoured by 'Summer Holidays' Team
The team of the upcoming children's film Summer Holidays hosted a special felicitation ceremony to honour the makers and cast of 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu, which recently created history at the 72nd National Film Awards by winning Best Children's Film and Best Child Artist. Young actor Master Arun Dev Pothula, who received the National Award for Best Child Artist, is also playing a significant role in Summer Holidays.
Produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni under Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and directed by Sreekar, Summer Holidays features Master Rohan, Master Arun Dev, and Baby Khushi in lead roles and is preparing for its theatrical release.
Speaking on the occasion, producer Dheeraj Mogilineni revealed that 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu was the inspiration behind his decision to produce Summer Holidays. Although he missed watching the film in theatres, he was deeply moved after watching it on OTT. He praised the conviction of director Nanda Kishore, the performances of Priyadarshi, Nivetha Thomas, and Vishwadev, and the soulful music composed by Vivek Sagar. He also shared that he had planned to honour Nanda Kishore even before the National Awards were announced and said Arun Dev immediately impressed everyone during the auditions for Summer Holidays.
Director Nanda Kishore expressed happiness over bringing the National Award for Best Children's Film back to Telugu cinema after the landmark achievement of Bala Ramayanam. Thanking the organisers for the felicitation, he appreciated Dheeraj Mogilineni and wished Summer Holidays similar recognition at the National Awards in the future. He also acknowledged producers Srujan and Siddharth for trusting his vision and stressed that filmmakers must always protect the faith and investment of their producers.
Actor Priyadarshi described the film as one of the most meaningful projects of his career. He recalled first hearing the story nearly eight years before its release and praised Nanda Kishore's determination in bringing it to life. He said the story reminded him of his own mother and thanked audiences for embracing meaningful cinema. Congratulating Arun Dev, he remarked that the young actor's home would soon have more awards than utensils.
Actor Vishwadev said every member of the team believed in the story from the very beginning, and that shared belief ultimately earned the film national recognition. He appreciated Arun Dev's effortless acting and praised Vivek Sagar's memorable music, while wishing the Summer Holidays team great success.
Music director Sinjith Yerramilli said 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu is a deeply emotional film and credited director Nanda Kishore's relentless efforts for its success. He described Vivek Sagar's music as a major inspiration and shared that Arun Dev continues to impress him with equally emotional performances during the shooting of Summer Holidays.
Director Sreekar said the success of 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu is a proud moment for Telugu cinema. He highlighted Arun Dev's exceptional talent, recalling how the young actor effortlessly delivered a lengthy two-page dialogue in a single take during the filming of Summer Holidays. He also appreciated Arun's parents for their unwavering support throughout his journey.
Expressing his gratitude, Master Arun Dev said the National Award was the result of the encouragement and support he received from every member of the 35 Chinna Katha Kaadu team. He thanked Dheeraj Mogilineni for giving him the opportunity to be part of Summer Holidays and dedicated his National Award to his mother.
Arun Dev's parents, Suresh and Satyavani, said they simply encouraged their son to pursue what he loved most. They described receiving the National Award as a dream come true and said their greatest happiness is now being introduced everywhere as Arun Dev's parents.
