“Pithapuramlo… Ala Modalaindi” Showcases a Heartfelt FatherDaughter Bond
Produced by Dundigalla Balakrishna, Akula Suresh Patel, and F.M. Murali (Godavari Kittayya) under the Mahesh Chandra Cinema Team banner, “Pithapuramlo… Ala Modalaindi” is a family drama directed by veteran filmmaker Mahesh Chandra.
The film features a strong cast including Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Prudhviraj, Kedar Shankar, Manichandana, Annapurnamma, Sunny Akhil, Virat, Sai Praneeth, Srilu, Prathyusha, and Rehana. It is all set for a grand theatrical release on May 1st.
Speaking to the media, the producers shared interesting insights about the film.
Producer Dundigalla Balakrishna said that most of the movie was shot in and around Pithapuram, fulfilling a promise made by the director. Nearly 75% of the film was shot there, with the remaining portions filmed in Hyderabad and Goa. He added that the film was completed in just 45 days despite having a large cast. He clarified that the movie has no political elements and is purely a family drama that beautifully highlights the emotional bond between a father and daughter.
Producer F.M. Murali (Godavari Kittayya) shared that his own house in Pithapuram was used as a key location in the film. Watching the shoot closely inspired him to become a part of the project as a producer. He expressed happiness in working with director Mahesh Chandra, whom he deeply admires.
Producer Akula Suresh Patel said he has always admired Mahesh Chandra’s film Preyasirave. He revealed that the story was developed carefully by the director and writer Sriram. The film faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the team remained confident. He praised Rajendra Prasad’s performance, stating that the actor did complete justice to his role. He also mentioned that the film received an emotional response during premiere shows and expressed confidence that it will succeed with positive word-of-mouth.
