Power Star Pawan Kalyan Hopes “Ustaad Bhagat Singh” Will Achieve the Success of “Gabbar Singh”
After the blockbuster success of Gabbar Singh, Power Star Pawan Kalyan and director Harish Shankar have teamed up again for the film “Ustaad Bhagat Singh.” The movie is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna play the female leads. The music is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while S. Thaman is providing the background score.
The songs, teaser, and trailer released so far have received a very good response and created huge expectations for the film. The movie is set to release in theatres on March 19, on the occasion of Ugadi. Ahead of the release, the makers organized a grand pre-release event on Sunday evening at the Police Grounds in Hyderabad.
Pawan Kalyan Speech
Speaking at the event, Pawan Kalyan greeted the fans who attended the event and those watching it live. He said cinema has given him everything in life, from livelihood to recognition, and he always wishes well for his producers and fans who come to theatres with excitement.
He said he never worries about how much a movie collects but always hopes that the film should be good. According to him, he does not see Telugu or Tamil cinema separately; he believes it is all Indian cinema, and he feels proud to be part of an industry that has reached the Oscar level.
Pawan Kalyan also said that for him there is only one hero, Megastar Chiranjeevi, and he feels happy that Chiranjeevi appreciated the trailer of Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He thanked Ram Charan as well for supporting the film.
He revealed that the film was completed in 40–45 days with careful planning by director Harish Shankar, despite his busy political responsibilities. He also thanked the entire cast and technical team including lyricists Chandrabose, Bhaskarabhatla, and Kasarla Shyam, along with technicians and action masters who worked on the film.
Pawan Kalyan praised Sreeleela as a great dancer and performer and said this role will be memorable in her career. He also thanked Raashi Khanna for agreeing to act in the film without even listening to the full story.
He appreciated director Harish Shankar, calling him a passionate filmmaker who understands fans very well. Pawan Kalyan said he hopes Ustaad Bhagat Singh will achieve a success similar to Gabbar Singh. He expressed excitement to show the film to audiences on March 19 and wished everyone Ugadi and Ramadan greetings.
Harish Shankar Speech
Director Harish Shankar explained that the film got delayed due to story changes and the COVID pandemic. Initially, they planned a different story set in a college backdrop, but later changed it.
He thanked the producers for supporting him throughout the journey and called them dream producers for any director. He praised Devi Sri Prasad for the songs and Thaman for the background score.
Harish Shankar also said that despite his busy political life, Pawan Kalyan worked very hard, often shooting at night after serving people during the day. He said fans will enjoy seeing Pawan Kalyan’s dance and entertainment in the film.
Sreeleela Speech
Sreeleela said Harish Shankar worked with great dedication to complete the film. She thanked the producers for giving her the opportunity and praised Pawan Kalyan as both a Power Star and a People’s Star.
She said she learned many things from him, including staying positive, caring about society, and loving nature. She believes audiences will see vintage Pawan Kalyan in the film.
Raashi Khanna Speech
Raashi Khanna said it had always been her dream to act with Pawan Kalyan, and it came true with Ustaad Bhagat Singh. She described him as a simple person who always thinks about people and inspires others.
She also praised Harish Shankar’s dedication and said she believes the film will repeat the magic of Gabbar Singh.
Producers’ Speech
Producer Naveen Yerneni said it had been their long-time dream to make a film with Pawan Kalyan, and that dream is finally coming true with Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He thanked Pawan Kalyan for completing the film despite his responsibilities as Deputy Chief Minister.
Producer Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili expressed confidence in the film’s success and said the movie is a complete commercial entertainer that will keep audiences engaged from beginning to end.
The event was hosted by popular anchor Suma, and the celebration took place amid huge excitement from fans. Many film personalities also attended and wished the movie great success.
