 Rākāsā Sees Strong Business Ahead of Release; Telugu Rights Sold in Big Deal

The upcoming fantasy-comedy Rākāsā is building solid momentum even before its release. The film’s Telugu States theatrical rights have been acquired by Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers in a major deal, reflecting strong confidence from the trade.

The film is gearing up for a wide release both in India and overseas. While Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers will release it across the Telugu States, international distribution will be handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures, planning a release in over 350 screens worldwide. Key markets include the USA, UK, Europe, Canada, and Australia. Prathyangira Cinemas will distribute the film in North America and the UK. Overseas premieres are scheduled for April 2, 2026, ahead of the global release on April 3, 2026.

The film has also secured strong non-theatrical deals. Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights, while Saregama Music has bagged the audio rights.

On the promotional front, Rākāsā is receiving good response online. The title glimpse has crossed 1.9 million views, and the teaser has surpassed 2.8 million views. The first song “Rapappa” has crossed 1.1 million views, while the second single “Padhe Padhe” has also crossed 1 million views, gaining positive feedback.

The film stars Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika in lead roles, supported by Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Getup Srinu. It is written and directed by Manasa Sharma.

Produced by Niharika Konidela under Pink Elephant Pictures in association with Zee Studios, the film has music by Anudeep Dev, cinematography by Raju Edurolu, and editing by Anwar Ali.

With strong distribution, good digital buzz, and growing interest around its music and story, Rākāsā is shaping up to be an exciting release this April.
