Netflix Launches Eyeline Studio in Hyderabad with Telangana CM Revanth Reddy as Chief Guest
The animation, visual effects, gaming and comics (AVGC) industry is rapidly growing in India. Recognizing this potential, Netflix has launched its global production and innovation facility, Eyeline Studio, in Hyderabad.
This studio will help create world-class animation and visual effects from India. It is equipped with advanced technologies for visual effects, virtual production and next-generation production tools. The studio will also make India an important hub in Netflix’s global production pipeline.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Eyeline Studios CEO Jeff Shapiro. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Information and Broadcasting Ministry Secretary Sanjay Jaju, actor-producer Rana Daggubati, and other dignitaries attended the event.
The new office spreads across 32,000 square feet and features state-of-the-art technology for advanced visual effects and generative virtual effects. It is supported by a strong hybrid cloud infrastructure. The workspace is designed to encourage employee well-being, collaboration and creativity.
After Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seoul and London, Hyderabad has become the fifth city in the world to host an Eyeline Studio. The facility will support high-end visual storytelling and immersive experiences.
India is emerging as a global hub for digital production and creative technology. The Eyeline Studios India office will bring world-class production standards, advanced tools and integrated workflows to the country. Through this studio, Eyeline is making a long-term investment in infrastructure, talent development and global collaboration in Hyderabad.
CM Revanth Reddy’s Speech
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said it is a matter of pride for Hyderabad to welcome Eyeline and Netflix to the state. He stated that Hyderabad is a natural home for Netflix because both have achieved global success and create many opportunities and jobs.
He added that Hyderabad has always been a place where creativity, technology and global talent come together. The presence of Eyeline will further strengthen Hyderabad’s position as a major center for cinema, technology and the AVGC industry. He also assured the government’s support in taking Hyderabad’s talent and stories to the world.
Sanjay Jaju’s Speech
Information and Broadcasting Ministry Secretary Sanjay Jaju said he was happy to be in Hyderabad, a city close to his heart. He said it is the perfect place for Eyeline Studios, especially since Baahubali was created here. He also highlighted that Hyderabad already hosts offices of major Hollywood studios and is becoming a hub for pan-India cinema.
Minister Sridhar Babu’s Speech
Telangana IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu welcomed Eyeline Studios and said the government aims to make Hyderabad a global capital for creative storytelling. He added that Netflix’s decision reflects confidence in India’s creative talent. The government will continue supporting skill development in VFX and animation.
Rana Daggubati’s Speech
Actor and producer Rana Daggubati said the event felt nostalgic. He recalled that around 2005-2006, opportunities like this were very limited in Hyderabad. Seeing global leaders now calling the city a creative hub shows how much it has grown.
He thanked audiences for demanding world-class cinema and said Indian filmmakers are already setting global benchmarks. He also welcomed Eyeline Studios and said it will create great opportunities for artists and storytellers.
Jeff Shapiro’s Speech
Eyeline Studios CEO Jeff Shapiro said India has long played a major role in global visual effects thanks to its creative and technical talent. When choosing a location for the studio, Hyderabad immediately stood out.
He said the city combines strong technology, world-class engineering talent and a deep film culture. The studio will help build long-term capabilities and contribute to global storytelling from India.
