King Buddha Team Joins World Peace Padayatra

King Buddha Shooting Across Buddhist Countries –  Director Satya Reddy Joins World Peace Padayatra

As part of a message for world peace, 60 Buddhist monks from Thailand are undertaking a 400-kilometre padayatra (foot march) from Swarnabhumi in Karnataka to Buddha Bhoomi, Nagarjuna Sagar in Telangana, starting from the 22nd.

Today, the “King Buddha”  director Satya Reddy and the film unit participated in the 17-kilometre stretch of the padayatra from Hyderabad to Turkayamjal.

On this occasion, senior monks blessed the film by placing a Gautama Buddha locket around director Satya Reddy’s neck and wished that the film “King Buddha” becomes a grand success worldwide.

Speaking at the event, Satya Reddy said that the  film “King Buddha (We Want World Peace)”, which was started in the USA, is progressing rapidly. He mentioned that shooting has already been completed in 10 countries and filming is planned in 15 more Buddhist countries. The film will feature actors from Hollywood, Bollywood, and South Indian cinema, and the aim is to release it in over 100 languages worldwide.

He also shared that during his earlier film “Ukku Satyagraham,” revolutionary poet Gaddar introduced him to Buddhism and suggested including Buddha-related scenes. Now, he considers making a full-fledged film on Gautama Buddha, titled “King Buddha,” as a great challenge.

Satya Reddy further stated that the teaser and trailer will be launched in Thailand and Malaysia, while pre-release events are planned in Delhi and Amaravati. He added that the “King Buddha” team will participate in the padayatra until its conclusion and expressed his wish to extend such peace marches from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

King Buddha is an international Hollywood project being made with the message of world peace, focusing on the life of Gautama Buddha and the principles of Panchasheel.
