Haiku Shoot Begins with Netflix Backing

Joe Makers Begin Shooting for New Film Haiku; Netflix Bags Digital Rights Early

After the success of Joe, its creators have started filming their next project titled Haiku, starring Aegan. The shoot officially began today, February 1, 2026, and even before completion, Netflix has secured the film’s digital streaming rightshighlighting strong confidence in the content.

The film went on floors with a traditional pooja and first clap ceremony held at Eddiki. Renowned filmmaker Ram graced the occasion, giving the first clap and wishing the team success.

Haiku is directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy and produced by Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu under the Vision Cinema House banner. Hari Haran Ram, who earlier directed Joe, has contributed additional screenplay.

The technical team features Priyesh GuruSwamy as cinematographer, Sakthi Pranesh as editor, and Vijai Bulganin as music director.

Aegan plays the lead role, with Femina George and Sridevi Apalla in key roles.

With Netflix coming on board at such an early stage, Haiku promises to be a strong, content-focused film. More updates will be announced as the project progresses.
