All set to arrive as a Valentine’s Day special, Funky is gearing up to deliver a full dose of laughter in theatres on February 13. Bringing together the energetic screen presence of Vishwak Sen and the distinct comedic storytelling of director K. V. Anudeep, the film is positioned as a wholesome entertainer for all age groups.

Backed by producers Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is presented by Srikara Studios. The music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, while Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead.

The film’s teaser, trailer, and songs have already struck a chord with audiences, creating solid buzz ahead of its release. Amid roaring cheers from fans, the team hosted a grand pre-release event at Lake View Club in Khammam on Wednesday evening.

 Vishwak Sen: Your love keeps me standing

Addressing the crowd, Vishwak Sen shared that he usually feels nervous before a release, but this time he feels calm and confident.

He expressed heartfelt gratitude to fans who stood by him during challenging times. Reflecting on his recent setbacks, he said that falling down isn’t a mistake failing to rise again is. He credited his supporters for giving him the strength to move forward.

Calling Funky a blessing that came to him at the right moment, he thanked director Anudeep and producer Naga Vamsi for their trust. He also acknowledged Chinababu for closely monitoring the project.

Confident about the film’s entertainment value, Vishwak assured that audiences would laugh wholeheartedly in theatres. He praised Kayadu Lohar’s dedication and talent, stating that their on-screen pairing has come out beautifully. Recalling that the pre-release event of Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam was also held in Khammam, he expressed hope that the same positive sentiment would continue with Funky.

He concluded by inviting families to watch the film in theatres on February 13, promising it would not disappoint.

Director Anudeep described Funky as a complete family package that can be enjoyed from beginning to end. He shared his happiness about working with Vishwak Sen and Kayadu Lohar and extended thanks to co-writer Jagan, cinematographer Suresh Sarangam, and music director Bheems for their contributions.

Bheems Ceciroleo: From Khammam trains to global tunes

Music director Bheems Ceciroleo shared an emotional connection with Khammam, recalling his student days at Madina College and train journeys from Mahabubabad, where he would sing and write poetry. Today, he said, it feels surreal that his compositions are being enjoyed worldwide.

Describing Funky as a laughter-packed family entertainer, Bheems said he thoroughly enjoyed composing both the songs and background score. He revealed that after watching Jathi Ratnalu, he had hoped to work on a similar comedy entertainer a wish that has now been fulfilled.

He thanked the producers, Trivikram garu, and expressed admiration for Anudeep’s integrity and humanity. He also conveyed his desire to collaborate again with Vishwak Sen in the future.

The event witnessed massive youth participation and was filled with high energy and excitement. Singer Rohini Sorat, lyricist Dev Pawar, Niranjan from Aditya Music, and actors Ravi Anthony, Mahipal, Pawan, and Raghava Ram, among others, attended the function and extended their best wishes to the team.
