On the eve of Republic Day, Mythri Movie Makers is set to drop a major update on “VD 14”, the much-awaited period action drama starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, directed by Rahul Sankrityan.
The team officially confirmed that the title reveal will happen on January 26, making it a special Republic Day announcement for fans across the country.
Mounted on a grand pan-India scale, the film is said to be set in a British-era backdrop, unfolding in the 19th century. The story is inspired by real historical incidents that occurred between 1854 and 1878, promising an intense and powerful cinematic experience.
This project marks a notable reunion for the team. After the blockbuster Taxiwaala, Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan are joining hands once again. It also becomes Vijay Deverakonda’s third collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers after Dear Comrade and Kushi. Adding to the buzz, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda will be seen together for the third time after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade.
Backed by producers Naveen Yerneni and Y. Ravi Shankar, the film is being presented by T-Series, while the music will be composed by the celebrated duo Ajay–Atul.
