Tara Sutaria Unveiled as Rebecca in Yash’s Toxic

Tara Sutaria Introduced as Rebecca in Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups

Yash’s much-anticipated film Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups continues to reveal key characters from its dark and intense world. After presenting Kiara Advani as the sorrowful Nadia, Huma Qureshi as the enigmatic Elizabeth, and Nayanthara as the fierce Ganga, the makers have now unveiled Tara Sutaria as Rebecca.

Rebecca is portrayed as elegant yet dangerous a woman who carries both power and vulnerability with ease. Stylish and desirable on the surface, she is equally skilled with guns and driven by a sharp survival instinct. The first-look poster shows Rebecca as fragile but fearless, beautifully broken yet commanding, hinting at a complex character that blends softness with authority. With this role, Tara Sutaria steps into the pan-India space for the first time, marking a major shift from her earlier polished image to a raw and intense avatar.

Director Geetu Mohandas shared that working with Tara was a unique experience. She explained that instead of pushing or shaping Tara forcefully, she allowed her space to grow into the character naturally. Tara’s quiet observation and internal preparation eventually led to a powerful performance that surprised everyone on set. Geetu believes audiences will be equally taken aback by Tara’s transformation in the film.

Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and more. The film features a strong technical crew including Rajeev Ravi as cinematographer, Ravi Basrur as music director, Ujwal Kulkarni as editor, and TP Abid as production designer. Action sequences are handled by Hollywood stunt expert JJ Perry, along with award-winning action choreographers Anbariv and Kecha Khamphakdee.

Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups is set for a grand theatrical release on 19th March 2026, during the festive weekend of Eid, Ugadi, and Gudi Padwa.
