‘Raakaasaa’ Announced as Title of Niharika Konidela’s PEP2, Set for April 3, 2026 Release
The makers of Niharika Konidela’s upcoming film PEP2 have officially revealed the title as ‘Raakaasaa’, along with a striking title announcement poster. Produced under the banners of Pink Elephant Pictures and Z Studios, the fantasy-comedy is confirmed for a worldwide theatrical release on April 3, 2026. The film is presented as A Niharika Konidela Production.
The title announcement poster sets a strong mood for the film. Featuring a dramatic solar eclipse breaking through dark, stormy clouds, the visual hints at a world rooted in myth and fantasy. The title ‘Raakaasaa’ is designed in an organic, root-like style with a subtle glow, giving it a mysterious and folkloric feel. Interestingly, the poster stays away from obvious comedy elements, suggesting that the humour will come naturally from the story and characters.
‘Raakaasaa’ boasts a diverse ensemble cast including Sangeeth Shobhan, Nayan Sarika, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Getup Srinu, Sukwinder Singh, Annapurnamma, Anoopsingh Thakur, Ramana Bhargav, Vasu Inturi, Rohini (Jabardast), Rohan (90’s) and others. The mix of well-known faces and strong character artists suits the film’s fantasy-comedy theme.
The film is written and directed by Manasa Sharma, who has handled the story, screenplay, and dialogues, ensuring a clear and consistent creative vision. Mahesh Uppala has contributed as the additional screenplay writer. The technical team includes Anudeep Dev (music), Raju Edurolu (cinematography), Anwar Ali (editing), and Vijay as the action choreographer. Ramanjaneyulu leads production design, with Pulla Vishnu Vardhan as art director and Sandhya Sabbavarapu in charge of costumes.
A major action-packed schedule choreographed by Vijay known for his work in They Call Him OG has already been completed. This was followed by comedy-focused scenes and key story portions. With most of the shoot wrapped up, only one song and about four days of talkie scenes remain, putting the film in its final phase of production.
Produced by Niharika Konidela and Umesh Kumar Bansal, with Manyam Ramesh as Executive Producer, ‘Raakaasaa’ continues Niharika’s effort to back fresh, content-driven cinema through Pink Elephant Pictures.
