Vijay Sethupathi Launches the Teaser of First-Ever Goat Fight–Based Film ‘Jockey’
After the 2021 film Muddy, PK7 Studios once again teams up with director Dr. Prabhahal for this unique project. The film is produced by Prema Krishnadas, C. Devadas, and Jaya Devadas.
Yuvan Krishna, Ridhan Krishnaas, and Ammu Abhirami play the lead roles, while Shakti Balaji has composed the music.
Jockey revolves around traditional goat fights practiced in rural villages around Madurai. To capture the authenticity of this age-old sport, the team spent nearly three years in the region, ensuring the setting and emotions remained true to the land. The actors even trained with real goats to perform the scenes naturally and convincingly.
Through Jockey, the makers aim to present rural life, local traditions, and raw human emotions in a realistic and heartfelt manner. With the teaser now out, the film has officially begun its journey, and the team has promised to reveal more updates soon.
