A special ceremony was held at Rathan Village in Pattikonda Constituency, Kurnool district, to unveil the new statue of the legendary actor and former Chief Minister Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR).

The statue was formally unveiled by NTR’s son Nandamuri Mohana Krishna, his granddaughter Nandamuri Mohana Roopa, and Pattikonda MLA Shri Shyam Babu. Many dignitaries attended the event, including Telugu Film Chamber Secretaries Tummala Prasanna Kumar and YVS Chowdary, TDP leaders, party cadre, and fans of the Nandamuri family.

Speaking at the event, Mohana Krishna said:

Today is a memorable day for our family. I sincerely thank MLA Shyam Babu garu for inviting me to unveil my father NTR garu’s statue. My father worked hard for the development of Rayalaseema, especially improving irrigation facilities in this region. Rayalaseema was always close to his heart. I thank everyone here for honouring him with this beautiful tribute.

Nandamuri Mohana Roopa shared her happiness, saying:

We feel blessed to unveil our grandfather NTR garu’s statue. It is an honour to stand on this fertile land of Rayalaseema. My heartfelt thanks to all the elders and organisers for this opportunity.

MLA Shyam Babu expressed pride in being part of the ceremony:

Today is truly auspicious. After our government was formed, unveiling NTR garu’s statue along with Mohana Krishna garu and Mohana Roopa garu is a proud moment for me. NTR garu gave political strength and identity to Backward Classes. I hope to see his statue in every village. With the support of our cadre, we will continue to honour his legacy.”

The event ended with floral tributes and warm expressions of gratitude from all attendees, celebrating NTR’s unforgettable contribution to Telugu society and the development of Rayalaseema.
