Tollywood heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda is all set to add another feather to his cap as he takes center stage at the 43rd Annual India Day Parade in New York. Organized by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), this iconic celebration is recognized as the biggest India Day Parade in the world and will unfold in grand style on August 17, starting 12 PM along Madison Avenue.
This year’s event is expected to draw a record-breaking crowd of nearly 600,000 attendees, showcasing the vibrancy, unity, and cultural pride of the Indian diaspora. The parade will also feature solemn tributes honoring the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the Ahmedabad plane crash, ensuring a blend of celebration and remembrance.
Radiating enthusiasm, Vijay Deverakonda expressed his gratitude for being chosen as the Grand Marshal, saying he feels privileged to celebrate India’s Independence Day with the Indian and Telugu communities in the United States.
The 2025 parade will be held under the uplifting theme “Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah” — wishing peace and happiness for all. Since its inception in 1981, the event has stood as a beacon of Indian unity, pride, and cultural heritage, resonating far beyond the streets of New York.
