Sai Rajesh and PVNS Rohit Win Big at National Film Awards for ‘Baby’

 

The cult favorite "Baby" has triumphed at the 71st National Film Awards, capturing two highly coveted honors. Sai Rajesh earned the Best Screenplay Writer award for his compelling storytelling, while PVNS Rohit took home the Best Playback Singer award for his soulful performance of the song “Premisthunna.” These accolades underscore the film’s powerful emotional resonance and artistic brilliance.

Sai Rajesh’s heartfelt script for "Baby" has now received national acclaim, further elevating the film’s already remarkable achievements. Alongside him, PVNS Rohit’s evocative vocals on “Premisthunna” deeply moved both audiences and critics, earning well-deserved recognition from the National Awards jury. Having previously swept accolades at SIIMA, GAMA, and Filmfare, the National Awards stand as the crowning achievement for the film so far.

Helmed by Sai Rajesh and produced by SKN under the Mass Movie Makers banner, "Baby" features Anand Deverakonda, Viraj Ashwin, and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in leading roles. The movie struck a chord with young viewers and went on to gross over ₹100 crore at the box office. A Hindi remake is now in the works, while the "Baby" creative team is gearing up for their next venture, “Chennai Love Story.” Directed by Ravi Namburi and written and produced by Sai Rajesh, this new film stars Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya, promising another captivating story ahead.
