A Story of Ambition, Friendship, and Craft Beer
Produced by Karan Johar's Dharmatic Entertainment, Do You Wanna Partner is a quirky, new-age series that follows two best friends, Shikha and Anahita, played by Bhatia and Penty. The duo embarks on an ambitious mission to launch their own alcohol start-up in the male-dominated world of craft beer. The series captures their journey as they navigate the chaos of urban life, defy norms, and find their way with humor, tenacity, and a lot of "jugaad" (a flexible, innovative approach to problem-solving).
The show also features a talented ensemble cast, including Jaaved Jaafery, Nakuul Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Neeraj Kabi, Sufi Motiwala, and Rannvijay Singha.
A Bold and Heartwarming Tale of Female Entrepreneurship
"Do You Wanna Partner is a bold and spirited tale of ambition, friendship, and hustle," said Nikhil Madhok, Director & Head of Originals, Prime Video, India. He added that the series tells a story of "two women rewriting the rules in a male-dominated industry" and praised the show's "relatable characters, sharp writing, and a distinctly Indian flavor."
Karan Johar, the producer, described the series as "audacious, vibrant, and unapologetically fun," emphasizing that it captures the "grit, heart, and hustle of a new generation of entrepreneurs, especially women making their mark in unconventional industries."
The creative team behind the series includes writers Nandini Gupta, Aarsh Vora, and Mithun Gongopadhyay, and directors Collin D’Cunha and Kumar.
With its high-energy and heartfelt storytelling, Do You Wanna Partner promises to be a refreshing and entertaining addition to Prime Video's slate of original content.
