Created by Deva Katta, the series digs deep into a world where alliances shift like sand, betrayals strike without warning, and ambition blurs the line between friend and foe. Inspired by significant political shifts of the era, Mayasabha captures the volatile spirit of the time through the lens of two young, charismatic leaders who rise from rival partieseach fueled by ideology, ego, and personal vendetta.
At its emotional core is the simmering rivalry between Kakarla Krishnama Naidu (played by Aadhi Pinisetty) and MS Rami Reddy (portrayed by Chaitanya Rao), once close friends now locked in a fierce political tug-of-war. The ensemble cast includes Divya Dutta in a powerful role as Iravati Basu. The series is directed by Deva Katta and Kiran Jay Kumar, and produced by Vijay Krishna Lingamaneni and Sree Harsha under Hitmen & Proodos Productions LLP.
Interestingly, Mayasabha was originally conceptualized as a trilogy of feature films with a mainstream cast. But as the script evolvedlayered, rich, and expansiveit naturally transformed into a long-format series. What was initially designed as a cinematic narrative grew into a 7-hour episodic experience. And this is just Season One. Season Two is already on the cards post-launch.
