ZEE5 Launches Telugu Supernatural Thriller ‘Viraatapalem: PC Meena Reporting’, Premiering June 27
ZEE5 is back with another gripping originalViraatapalem: PC Meena Reporting, a suspenseful supernatural drama set in the eerie heartlands of Andhra Pradesh. Streaming from June 27, this new Telugu web series stars Abhignya Vuthaluru and Charan Lakkaraju in lead roles and is directed by Krishna Poluru, the mind behind the acclaimed Recce.
Set in the mysterious 1980s village of Viraatapalem, the story follows PC Meena, a newly appointed police constable who walks into a community haunted by a decades-old curseno bride survives her wedding day. With fear strangling the village and weddings banished for over ten years, Meena arrives determined to get to the truth. What unfolds is a thrilling investigation that peels back layers of fear, secrets, and ancient superstitions.
Viraatapalem: PC Meena Reporting blends the tension of folklore with the grit of a crime mystery. As Meena teams up with a reformed criminal to uncover what’s really going on, the duo faces resistance from locals who would rather keep the truth buried.

Produced by Sriram of South Indian Screens, the series aims to bring a raw, atmospheric narrative that pushes the boundaries of Telugu web content. “This is a story that needed to be told. It’s unsettling, grounded, and full of suspense,” said Sriram.
Abhignya Vuthaluru, who plays the bold and empathetic constable, said, “This role was unlike anything I’ve done before. Playing Meena required both emotional strength and vulnerability. Shooting in real villages gave the experience a certain authenticity that I hope audiences connect with.”
