Every Character in ‘Kannappa’ is a Hero Mohan Babu Showers Praise at Grand Pre-Release Event

With just days left for the much-awaited release of Kannappa, the team came together for a massive pre-release celebration in Hyderabad. The event was filled with emotional speeches, heartfelt tributes, and sky-high anticipation for the mythological epic, which hits theatres on June 27.

Veteran actor and producer Dr. M. Mohan Babu, who is backing the project, said,

This film began with Lord Shiva’s blessings. Every actor has contributed like a hero, and I am grateful to them all. Director Mukesh Kumar Singh has brought this story alive with remarkable vision. Kannappa is more than just a film it’s a spiritual journey.

He also emphasized the inclusive message of the film, recalling the story of Thinnadu, a tribal youth who transformed into the legendary devotee Kannappa.

Vishnu Manchu Gets Candid

Lead actor and producer Vishnu Manchu, visibly emotional, spoke at length about his dream project,

This is not just my film. It belongs to Kannappa, to Shiva, and to everyone who believes in devotion. The entire journey was filled with challenges, but Shiva gave me the strength. This film is a tribute to faith.

He added a touching note about Prabhas,

Prabhas is like Krishna in my life always there, quietly supportive. Like Karna, I will stand by him forever. He didn’t have to be part of this film, but he did it for the love he has for my father. That’s rare.

Director Mukesh Kumar Singh praised Vishnu’s dedication,

He completes scenes in one or two takes and gives his all. No role in this film is small, not even Prabhas'. Every character matters.”

Music director Stephen Devassy was lauded for delivering a stirring score, especially the powerful number ‘Shiva Shiva Shankara’, choreographed by Prabhu Deva.

Veteran actor Brahmanandam moved the audience by saying,

This is not a commercial film; it’s made to share Shiva’s philosophy with the world. I truly believe it will become a landmark film.

Several big names joined hands to support Kannappa.

Sarath Kumar praised the film’s message and said it feels like Lord Shiva himself inspired the making of it.

Akshay Kumar, Mohanlal, and Shiva Rajkumar also contributed to the project in key roles, making it a truly Pan-India film.

Writers BVS Ravi, Akella Shiva Prasad, Sudhalla Ashok Teja, and Ramajogayya Sastry reflected on their personal connections with the story and expressed pride in being part of a film so rich in spiritual and cultural value.

Lyricist Ashok Teja noted his battle song for the climax is one of his proudest works, and writer Thota Prasad said Vishnu’s performance brought him to tears.

The pre-release event ended with actor Mukesh Rishi sharing,

This isn’t just a film. It’s a movement of belief. Thanks to Mohan Babu and Vishnu for making this vision real. Watch out for Prabhas his presence will leave a lasting impact.

Kannappa, starring Vishnu Manchu, with special appearances by Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and more, promises a visual and spiritual treat. Catch it in theatres worldwide on June 27.
