"Jubin Nautiyal is truly the voice of this generation’s romance": Mohit Suri on roping him in for Barbaad from Saiyaara, out now!
After the beautiful title track, Yash Raj Films and director Mohit Suri have just released the second song Barbaad from their upcoming romantic drama Saiyaara. Sung by Jubin Nautiyal and composed by The Rish, Barbaad promises to strike a deep emotional chord.
Ever since its teaser dropped, Saiyaara has been praised for its intense love story, fresh faces, and heartfelt performances. The film marks a special collaboration between YRF and Mohit Suri both known for creating memorable romantic films.
Talking about choosing Jubin Nautiyal for Barbaad, Mohit says,
“Some singers become the voice of a generation, especially when it comes to love. For me, Jubin Nautiyal is definitely one of them. I always knew he had to be part of Saiyaara. When I heard Barbaad, I immediately felt his voice would bring it to life.”
“Jubin has that rare ability to make you feel every emotion in a love song. That’s what makes him special. When people connect to a romantic song on a personal level, it stays with them forever and Jubin has that gift.”
Mohit believes Barbaad will remind people of the highs and heartbreaks of love.
“Romantic songs stay with us because they touch something deep inside. Barbaad is about how love can be overwhelming, painful, and beautiful all at once. I hope it resonates with everyone who’s ever been in love.”
He also shares his excitement after the success of the title track:
“The response to the Saiyaara title song has been amazing. We’re truly grateful. We hope people shower the same love on Barbaad and continue supporting the film as we head toward release.”
The word Saiyaara means a wandering star something beautiful, glowing, and distant. It captures the spirit of the story a love that’s magical, yet just out of reach.
Saiyaara introduces Ahaan Panday to the big screen, alongside Aneet Padda, who impressed everyone with her performance in Big Girls Don’t Cry. The film is produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani and hits theatres worldwide on July 18, 2025.
YRF, celebrating 50 years of storytelling, has been home to some of India’s most iconic romances while Mohit Suri, now in his 20th year as a filmmaker, has given us unforgettable love stories like Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, and Malang.
