SAPPHIRE SUITE: A New Landmark Rises in Chitrapuri Colony

SAPPHIRE SUITE Will Be a Landmark in Chitrapuri Colony – To Be Completed in 40 Months,” Says Anil Kumar Vallabhaneni

Hyderabad: A bold new chapter has been unveiled for Chitrapuri Colony, the housing initiative rooted in the Telugu film industry's legacy. On Monday, the much-anticipated residential project SAPPHIRE SUITE was officially announced in the presence of key stakeholders, senior film industry leaders, and union representatives. The project brochure was formally launched by Mr. Anil Kumar Vallabhaneni, President of Chitrapuri Colony.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Vallabhaneni reflected on the colony’s long-standing vision. Chitrapuri Colony was conceptualized back in 1994. Despite facing numerous setbacks over the decadesfrom changing governments to leadership transitionswe stayed the course. It was only with the support of Film Chamber President Mr. Bharath Bhushan that we finally secured the necessary approvals. While we currently face a financial burden of Rs. 166 crores and have Rs. 50 crores worth of work pending, our resolve remains unshaken. Every technician and industry worker deserves a home, and that’s the commitment we’re delivering on.

Due to new buffer zone regulations, the available land for the project has been reduced from 4.5 acres to just 2 acres. Still, the team is moving forward with a design that will accommodate all eligible members. “Our first priority is to allocate units to those already on the waiting list,” Vallabhaneni said. “New applications will be evaluated based on certification from respective associations. While earlier phases took over 14 years to complete, we are confident SAPPHIRE SUITE will be completed within 40 months of groundbreaking. This project will truly be a landmark for the industry.”

Veteran producer C. Kalyan commended the effort, saying, “Chitrapuri Colony stands as a beacon of hope and unity for our industry. Leaders like Chadalavada Srinivasa Rao played a pivotal role in acquiring this land, and today’s launch reaffirms our shared dream.”
