 Award-Winning Film Muthayya to Premiere on ETV Win This Summer

After making waves across the global festival circuit, the critically acclaimed Telugu film Muthayya is gearing up for its much-anticipated digital premiere on ETV Win later this summer.

Directed by debutant Bhaskhar Maurya, Muthayya tells the heartwarming tale of a 70-year-old man who dreams of becoming an actor before his time runs out. The film captures his relentless pursuit and emotional journey, making it a moving story about passion, dreams, and resilience.

The film is produced by Vamsi Karumanchi and Vrinda Prasad under the banners of Hylife Entertainments Pvt Ltd and Fictionary Entertainment LLP. Cinematographer Divakar Mani, who also serves as the film’s co-producer, brings a rich visual texture to the story.

Veteran actor K Sudhakar Reddy, known for his impressive roles in Balagam and Bapu, plays the titular role, while Arun Raj makes a strong debut alongside him. The cast also includes Purna Chandra and Mounika Bomma in pivotal roles.

Muthayya had its world premiere at the UK Asian Film Festival in London and went on to receive several accolades, including Best Feature Film in Indian Languages at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival, Best Debut Director at the Meta Film Festival in Dubai, and Best Film at Indic Film Utsav. The film also made its mark at multiple international festivals across Canada, Bangladesh, Italy, and India.

Speaking about the film's upcoming premiere, director Bhaskhar Maurya said, “Muthayya holds a special place in my heart as it’s my first film. I’m overwhelmed by the recognition it has received globally and thrilled that Telugu audiences can soon experience it on ETV Win. Sudhakar Reddy garu and Arun Raj have given their soul to the film, and Divakar Mani’s visuals are truly remarkable.”
