Mohanlal and Prithviraj's "L2E: Empuraan" Becomes First Malayalam Film to Launch IMAX® Trailer!
The excitement is at its peak as the countdown begins for the release of Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran's highly anticipated film L2E: Empuraan on March 27, 2025. Adding to the buzz, the makers have announced that the official theatrical trailer will be unveiled online on March 20, 2025, at 1:08 PM IST.
For the first time in Malayalam cinema, the trailer will be launched in IMAX® format at an exclusive offline event at INOX Megaplex, InOrbit Mall, Malad, Mumbai. This marks a historic moment as L2E: Empuraan also becomes the firstever Malayalam film to get an IMAX® release.
Shot in an anamorphic format (1:2.8 aspect ratio), the film promises a grand cinematic experience, making the IMAX® release even more special.
A sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Lucifer, this political actionthriller features a stellar ensemble cast including Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Abhimanyu Singh, Andrea Tivadar, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Manju Warrier. Notably, Game of Thrones actor Jerome Flynn makes his Indian film debut in this project.
Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and written by Murali Gopy, the film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor and Gokulam Gopalan under Aashirvad Cinemas and Sree Gokulam Movies.
The film will be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil. Dil Raju's SVC Cinemas has secured the Telugu distribution rights, while AA Films (North India), Hombale Films (Karnataka), and Sree Gokulam Movies (Tamil Nadu) are handling distribution in other regions.
