“Kobali” Celebrates Success as Team Teases a Deeper Story in Part 2
The acclaimed web series Kobali is on a high, with celebrations marking its tremendous success. Directed by Revanth Levaka and produced by Nimbus Films, U1 Productions, and TSR Movie Makers, this raw and riveting series has struck a chord with audiences since its debut on Disney+ Hotstar on February 4. Streaming in seven languages, Kobali has captivated viewers across India, earning notable praise from the North.
With the show still trending at No. 1, the team gathered at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad for a grand success meet. The event not only served as a thank-you to the media and fans but also revealed an exciting hint: while this season has been widely celebrated, the true narrative will emerge in Part 2.
Reflecting on his 20-year career, actor Ravi Prakash expressed heartfelt gratitude: “I’m immensely thankful to the media, Disney+ Hotstar, and our loyal viewers. I discovered this unique story in a coffee shop and was immediately drawn to it—even though it lacked big names or obvious selling points. Thanks to Hotstar’s trust and the audience’s love, we’ve shown that genuine storytelling always pays off.”
Actor Rocky Singh added, emphasizing that Kobali’s strength lies in its content:
“The success of Kobali isn’t about star power—it’s all about the story. Special thanks to Venkat garu, whose brief role this season is only the beginning; his character is set to take center stage in Part 2. This season was just a glimpse of what’s to come.”
Producer Jyothi acknowledged the collaborative spirit behind the series:
“I am deeply grateful to my fellow producers Rajasekhar Reddy and Tirupati Srinivasa Rao, along with our entire cast and crew. With support from Disney+ Hotstar and our audience, we’ve achieved something truly remarkable.”
Veteran actor Venkat shared his appreciation, highlighting the importance of storytelling:
“Disney+ Hotstar placed its faith in a project with many new faces, and the audience responded with overwhelming support. This confirms that good content matters more than big names. I even hope to work with Director Revanth on a movie soon! My thanks to producers Jyothi and Rajasekhar Reddy for believing in this story.”
Producer Rajasekhar Reddy marveled at the unexpected support from North India:
“We knew Kobali had potential, but the response has surpassed our wildest dreams.”
Co-producer Tirupati Srinivasa Rao, who previously brought you Tikamakathanda, added:
“The success of Kobali has been phenomenal, and I promise Part 2 will be even more extraordinary.”
Director Revanth Levaka paid tribute to the entire team’s effort:
“This success is the result of every individual’s hard work—from Jyothi garu, Ravi Prakash garu, and Rocky Singh, to Pawan (S.I. Raghu), Mani (Raju), cinematographer Rohit Bachchu, editor Kishore Maddali, and music director Hari Gowra. Thank you all for making this journey possible!”
