Following successful films like Malli Raava, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya, and Masooda, Swadharm Entertainment’s latest offering, Brahma Anandam, hit theaters on February 14. The film features legendary comedian and Padma Shri awardee Brahmanandam alongside his son, Raja Goutham, in lead roles, with Priya Vadlamani and Aishwarya Holakkal in key supporting roles. Presented by Smt. Savitri and Sri Umesh Kumar, the film was produced by Rahul Yadav Nakka and marks the directorial debut of R.V.S. Nikhil. With an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences, the team gathered on Saturday to celebrate the film’s success.
Speaking at the event, Brahmanandam expressed his joy, stating, “Everyone who has watched Brahma Anandam is praising my son, and as a father, that makes me immensely happy. I have always been drawn to roles that offer something new to audiences who have supported me throughout my career. After a long time, I truly feel satisfied with the film and my performance in it. There’s nothing overly dramatic or extraordinary in the movie that pulls people to theaters—it’s just me, Vennela Kishore, Swadharm Entertainment, and my son, Raja Goutham. It’s heartwarming when people tell me, ‘You’re back after a long time, and that’s why audiences are coming to watch the film.’ I want to continue doing roles like Ranga Marthanda rather than repeating the same kind of characters. I encourage filmmakers to explore fresh narratives for me. Many young directors approach me with enthusiasm, even for small roles, and I never hesitate because I know it means something to them. If it helps their film and brings audiences to theaters, that makes me happy.”
Raja Goutham, reflecting on his journey, shared, “It’s surreal to hear people talk about me after watching the film. My father and I have always shared lighthearted moments at home, but when it came to acting, he gave me complete freedom. He never pressured me but always supported my choices. Now, I’m collaborating with Rahul once again, and I will bring a fresh perspective in my next film, Vibe. After Manu, I worked on Dhoota and continued with Broke Out. Now, with Brahma Anandam, I feel like I’m finding my rhythm and growing as an actor.”
Producer Rahul Yadav Nakka emphasized the film’s organic growth, saying, “Word of mouth has always played a crucial role in the success of my films, and Brahma Anandam is no exception. The audience response has been fantastic, and theaters are seeing full occupancy. With continued media support, I believe the film will keep thriving.”
Director R.V.S. Nikhil also shared his excitement, noting, “The audience’s response has been incredible. When we watched the film in theaters, people were laughing at moments we hadn’t even anticipated. It reassures us that the film has struck the right chord. Despite multiple re-releases in cinemas, our movie has managed to hold its ground and entertain the audience.”
With a strong word-of-mouth reception and packed theaters, Brahma Anandam is proving to be another successful outing for Swadharm Entertainment.
