 VD 14 Set Work Begins: Vijay Deverakonda Teams Up with Rahul Sankrityan and Mythri Movie Makers for a Spectacular Period Drama  

VD 14 is an upcoming period drama starring Vijay Deverakonda, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Set in 19th-century colonial India (1854-1878), this pan-India film explores untold historical events with a massive budget and action-packed narrative

The muchawaited film VD 14, starring Vijay Deverakonda and directed by Rahul Sankrityan, has officially commenced its set work. Produced by the renowned Mythri Movie Makers, this ambitious project is an actionpacked period drama set during the British era. Backed by a massive budget, the film is being produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar. Following the completion of its preproduction phase, the film is now gearing up for its shooting schedule.  

The set work began today, marking an auspicious start on the occasion of Republic Day. Director Rahul Sankrityan took to social media to share his excitement, writing:  

"VD14 set work started today with an auspicious pooja. A great tale on colonial history laid its first brick on our 76th Republic Day. I am sure this film is going to be one of the most powerful films ever made on the colonial history (unspoken) of India."  

Set against the backdrop of 19thcentury India, VD 14 is inspired by real historical events from 1854 to 1878. The project is being envisioned as a largescale panIndia film, promising to shed light on untold stories from India’s colonial past.  

This is the third collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Mythri Movie Makers, after the success of Dear Comrade and Kushi. Additionally, it marks the reunion of Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul Sankrityan after their successful partnership in Taxiwala.
