Global star Ram Charan’s pan-India biggie Game Changer is gearing up for a grand release on January 10, heralding the Sankranthi festive season. Directed by Shankar, the film will hit theaters in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi. Presented by Smt. Anitha, it is bankrolled by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateswara Creations, Dil Raju Productions, and Zee Studios.

As part of the promotional activities, Anjali, one of the film’s female leads, interacted with the media. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Q: You have two releases this Sankranthi. How does it feel?

Anjali: I’m thrilled! I recently learned about my other film’s release. Sankranthi is a crucial season for actors, and being part of two big films with stars like Ram Charan and Vishal is incredibly exciting. Both movies have generated great buzz, and I’m eager for audiences to see them.

Q: Tell us about your character in Game Changer.

Anjali: My character is named Parvati, which has a special connection because my mother’s name is Parvati Devi. Sometimes, certain roles resonate with us on a personal level, and this was one of them. Game Changer is a milestone in my career, and I’ve poured my heart into portraying this character.

Q: What challenges did you face in this role?

Anjali: I can’t reveal much as there’s a surprise in store. However, I can share that this role was emotionally demanding. Some days, I carried the character’s emotions home with me. Parvati has multiple layers, and playing her required me to step out of my comfort zone. This role is among the most impactful in my 18-year career.

Q: There’s buzz that your performance might win you a National Award. How do you feel about that?

Anjali: That’s very kind of people to say. While I worked hard on this role and believed in my performance, hearing such recognition is heartwarming. Let’s see what happens.

Q: What is Parvati’s connection with Appanna, Ram Charan’s character?

Anjali: Parvati is Appanna’s wife, and their bond forms the heart of the film. Their relationship is portrayed beautifully, with many surprises that weren’t revealed in the trailer. Watching their journey on screen will be an emotional experience for audiences.

Q: How was it working with Ram Charan?

Anjali: Charan is a wonderful co-star. His positivity and respectful nature create a supportive environment on set. His silent yet kind personality made working with him a memorable experience.

Q: How did you feel when you got the opportunity to work on this film?

Anjali: It was a dream come true. Shankar sir is a legendary director, and working with Ram Charan for the first time under Dil Raju’s banner felt like an honor. I’ve always wanted to ensure our on-screen pairing looked great, and I’m glad audiences are appreciating it.

Q: You previously had a Sankranthi release under the same banner. How does this compare?

Anjali: It feels surreal! I debuted with Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu during Sankranthi 12 years ago under Dil Raju’s banner. Now, returning with a Shankar directorial feels like a full-circle moment.

Q: How was it working with Shankar?

Anjali: I was initially nervous, but Shankar sir made me feel comfortable from the start. He’s deeply focused on his craft and ensures everyone on set is at ease.

Q: Any memorable scenes or moments during the shoot?

Anjali: Without giving away spoilers, there are certain scenes that deeply moved me. When you watch the film, you might be able to guess which ones I’m referring to!

Q: Is Parvati a game-changer in Game Changer?

Anjali: In a way, yes. Parvati’s character is integral to the film’s narrative.

Q: How did you feel seeing yourself and Ram Charan in your respective getups?

Anjali: It felt transformative. Shankar sir’s attention to detail brought authenticity to our looks. My character’s appearance, with the bindi and turmeric, reflects a woman of the 90s, which was refreshing to portray.

Q: Any final thoughts about Game Changer?

Anjali: This film is very close to my heart. Working with such an incredible team has been an unforgettable journey, and I can’t wait for audiences to experience the magic on screen.
