"Ram Charan Grows Humbler with Success": Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan Wishes 'Game Changer' to Shatter Box Office Records
Global star Ram Charan has joined hands with acclaimed director Shankar for the highly anticipated political action-drama Game Changer. Featuring Kiara Advani as the female lead, the film is presented by Smt. Anita and produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under Sri Venkateshwara Creations, Dil Raju Productions, and Zee Studios. The movie is slated for a grand worldwide release on January 10.
On January 4, the makers hosted a lavish pre-release event in Rajahmundry, graced by Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh, MLAs Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, Adireddy Vasu, Bathula Balaram, Kolikapudi Srinivas, MLC Hari Prasad, and KUDA Chairman Thummala Babu.
The event also saw the presence of Game Changer's team, including Ram Charan, director Shankar, producers Dil Raju and Sirish, music director Thaman, lyricists Ramajogaiah Sastry, Ananta Sriram, Kasarla Shyam, dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra, and actors Naveen Chandra, Anjali, Srikanth, and SJ Suryah. Notable guests such as director Sujeeth and producer Hanshitha also attended.
Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan delivered an emotional and inspiring speech, stating,
“My warm greetings to everyone present and watching this event. Telugu cinema owes its legacy to stalwarts like NT Rama Rao garu, ANR garu, and Raj Kapoor garu. Today, individuals like Ram Charan garu, Jr NTR garu, and Rajamouli garu have elevated Indian cinema globally, and Shankar garu is one of the foundational pillars behind this success.”
“Charan exemplifies humility and dedication. Despite achieving global recognition with films like RRR and Rangasthalam, he remains grounded, often performing Ayyappa and Hanuman deekshas. He is our treasure, someone I bless not only as an uncle but also as an elder brother.”
“Shankar garu’s films, like Oke Okkadu and Gentleman, always carry a strong social message. With Game Changer, he’s making his straight Telugu debut, and it’s an honor to see this happening with Ram Charan.”
Speaking at the event, Ram Charan expressed gratitude to Pawan Kalyan, calling him a true "game changer" in politics.
“I may be the Game Changer in the film, but Pawan Kalyan garu is the real game changer in Indian politics,” he said. Charan also thanked the audience for their overwhelming support and promised to share more at a later occasion.
Director Shankar expressed his admiration for Pawan Kalyan, revealing that his warm demeanor left a lasting impression during a personal meeting.
“Game Changer is a story about a clash between a minister and a collector, with Ram Charan delivering a career-best performance in dual roles. I thank the entire team for their dedication,” Shankar said.
Producer Dil Raju praised Ram Charan’s versatility, noting his portrayal of three distinct shades in the film. He also thanked the Andhra Pradesh government for their support in increasing ticket rates for Sankranthi releases.
Actors Srikanth and SJ Suryah lauded Charan’s performance, with Suryah drawing parallels between Ram Charan’s character and Pawan Kalyan’s real-life persona.
“Ram Charan’s performance in Game Changer deserves a National Award,” Srikanth said, echoing a sentiment shared by many on the team.
With a compelling story, stellar performances, and grand visuals, Game Changer is poised to be a Sankranthi blockbuster. Directed by Shankar and backed by an exceptional cast and crew, the film is expected to set new benchmarks in Indian cinema.
Mark your calendars for January 10 to witness this cinematic spectacle in theaters worldwide!
