 “Edo Ye Janmalodo” from Shashtipurthi: A Legendary Collaboration

The upcoming film Shashtipurthi, produced by MAA AAI Productions, is currently in production and features Roopesh in the lead role. The film also stars veteran actor Rajendra Prasad and double National Award-winning actress Archana, marking their first on-screen collaboration since the iconic film Ladies Tailor, released 38 years ago. Akanksha Singh plays the female lead alongside Roopesh, while Pavan Prabha directs the project, and Rupesh Chowdary is the producer.

The anticipation builds for the grand release of the song "Edo Ye Janmalodo" from the film's album. This track is particularly noteworthy as it features music composed by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja, with lyrics penned by Oscar-winning MM Keeravani. This collaboration between two of the greatest musical talents in Indian cinema is a significant highlight.

Director Pavan Prabha shared that Shashtipurthi includes a total of five songs. "Chaitanya Prasad wrote the lyrics for four of the songs, while Keeravani Garu crafted the lyrics for the fifth. We were fortunate that he had some spare time in Chennai to assist us. This song is very special as it brings together Ilaiyaraaja Garu and Keeravani Garu," he stated.

Producer Rupesh Chowdary expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "What more could we have asked for than a song composed by Ilaiyaraaja Garu with lyrics by Keeravani Garu? This film is a family-oriented drama that addresses many relevant themes. Working with veterans like Rajendra Garu Prasad and Archana Garu was a rewarding experience. We have completed production and will announce the release date soon."
