Dil Raju Appointed As Chairman of Telangana Film Development Corporation
Renowned film producer Dil Raju has been appointed as the Chairman of the Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) by the Government of Telangana. He officially took over the position today after performing a Puja in his office.
During the ceremony, Dil Raju expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkatreddy for entrusting him with this significant role.
In a statement to the media, he emphasized CM Revanth Reddy's vision of strengthening the connection between the film industry and the government and revitalizing TFDC. He stated, “I am committed to developing TFDC and fostering the growth of cinema in Telangana.”
Dil Raju highlighted the need to advance Telangana cinema and promote the state's culture in Telugu films, especially following the bifurcation of the state. He noted, “Hyderabad has evolved into a hub for Telugu cinema since the industry shifted from Chennai. Our goal now is to establish Hyderabad as a center for both Indian and international cinema.”
Addressing the challenges faced by distributors and producers in Telangana, Dil Raju promised to serve as a liaison between them and the government to find resolutions.
On the professional front, Dil Raju is preparing for the release of his highly anticipated film, Game Changer, starring Global Star Ram Charan. This political action drama, directed by Shankar, is set for a grand release on January 10, 2025, in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi.
