Famed journalist Rajdeep Sardesai along with actor Nikhil Siddharth launch the book 'Mysterious Mayhem'

Famed journalist Rajdeep Sardesai along with actor Nikhil Siddharth launch the book 'Mysterious Mayhem' written by 10-year-old Eshanvi Kessireddy

Renowned television journalist and author Rajdeep Sardesai has stressed the need for inculcating the avocation of reading and writing among children. Sardesai was speaking along with Telugu actor Nikhil Siddharth after launching the book 'Mysterious Mayhem' written by 10-year-old girl Eshanvi Kessireddy at Radisson Blu here in the city on Sunday.

Sardesai opined that the habit of writing has fallen drastically among the people. Children should take inspiration from young girl Eshanvi to step forward to churn out more stories, he said. "Children should inculcate reading newspapers to know what's happening in society. I wish Eshanvi would write more of such adventurous tales every year," he added. "Eshanvi's parents have supported her to bring out the book. It's a great achievement for Eshanvi to pen mysterious and adventurous tales on paper. I congratulate her and wish she would become a writer who can produce 'Harry Porter'-kind literature in the future," he added.

Reminiscing about the childhood days that he spent reading books, actor Nikhil Siddharth said it is a great achievement for Eshanvi to write a book of this kind in this age of the internet.

Speaking on the occasion, author Eshanvi thanked everyone who greeted her on the occasion of her book launch event. "I enjoy reading adventurous novels very much. I love books written by Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai. I happened to read a book written by an 11-year-old girl. That was when I took inspiration and started writing 'Mysterious Mayhem' in the year 2020. I could finish the book with my parents' support. This is the story of two girls Miya and Sofie who plan an outdoor vacation. However, the duo got on the wrong flight at  Florida. How will this adventurous journey take turn? - forms the crux of the tale," she said. Eshanvi has decided to donate the money from selling her book to T Hope to support the education of poor children.

Eshanvi's parents Divya Reddy and Rajasekhara Reddy too spoke during the event. Subhashini, Upender Reddy, Sujatha, Shaurya Reddy among the other attendees were present.
