“Maaya directed by national award winner Neelakanta, Produced under the banner Shirdi Sai combines by MVK Reddy & Madhura Sreedhar Reddy. Maaya , inspite of being released to critics mixed reviews on Friday, managed to garner positive response from audiences due to its novel storyline and unpredictable climax.
A few film personalities opined that “Maaya” is the first telugu film made with Extra Sensory Perception as its backdrop.

Director Boyapati Srinu said that Telugu Cinema is proud to have a wonderful director like Neelakanta. He does magic with Maaya. Well Known Screenplay Writer Gopi Mohan opined that Maaya is the best thriller of Telugu Film Industry by far and deserves to be made in all other Indian Languages.
Maghadheera story writer Vijayendraprasad said that I’ve written so many stories for telugu films. I even couldn’t guess correctly maaya’s second half. Neelakanta has done magic with screenplay.
Popular directors, producers such as Shiva Nageswara rao, Devi Sriprasad, Veera Shankar, VN Adithya, Indraganti Mohana Krishna, Srinivas Avasarala, MV Raghu, all showered Maaya with their praises.
Producer Madhura Sreedhar Reddy said that Maaya is being shown to houseful audiences in multiplexes and single theaters across the state. And also said that Producers from Hindi, Bengali, Oriya Film Industries have approached us for Maaya remake rights.
Director Neelakata in his speech said that “I really loved Maaya as film and it brought me enough recognition in addition to my previous films Show and Missamma. Maaya is made with new storyline. I sincerely thank audiences for their overwhelming response.
