Film hits the screens on February 10
Sai Ronak and Avika Gor will be seen in exciting roles in an entertainer titled 'Popcorn', directed by Murali Naga Srinivas Gandham. Producer Madhupalli Bhogendra Gupta of Acharya Creations (of the critically-acclaimed 'Napolean' and 'Maa Oori Polimera' fame) is producing it. Avika Gor is debuting as a co-producer of the movie on her banner Avika Screen Creations. MS Chalapathi Raju and Seshu Babu Peddinti are its other co-producers. The film is going to hit the screens on February 10.
The film's trailer launch event was held on Wednesday at a multiplex in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Akkineni Nagarjuna began his speech by congratulating the producers. He also lauded choreographer Ajay for making a song in a lift on the lead pair. "The film will surely become a hit and the director doesn't need to worry at all. I congratulate Aditya Music. I hope this novel attempt will be loved by one and all. Sai Ronak looks promising. Many years ago, when I was in Brazil, I learned that Avika Gor's famous TV serial 'Chinnari Pelli Kooturu' was dubbed and released in 128 countries. It was dubbed in Spanish and several other languages. Avika is a pan-world star. She even did two Kazakh projects. When I was into TV, I knew that her TV serial would top the charts in terms of ratings. We also produced 'Uyyala Jampala' with her. After all these years, it's good to see her cute expressions and energy on display in 'Popcorn'. She has also turned into a producer. I hope 'Popcorn' impresses a vast section of the audience."
Presenter MS Chalapathi Raju thanked Nagarjuna for gracing the occasion. He added that the film's director and Avika Gor are equally important to the project. "She guided the project from the front. I also thank Sai Ronak on this occasion. Our previous film 'Polimera' was a hit. And 'Popcorn' is going to be 100 times even better. The last 45 minutes are going to be special. Elders will reconnect with their past, while youngsters will have a blast watching the film. We are releasing the movie ahead of Valentine's Day because it's a pure love story."
Producer Bhogendra Gupta said, "I thank Nagarjuna garu for releasing the trailer. Our film is going to be released in theatres on February 10."
Debutant director Murali Gandham thanked the producers, actors, guest Nagarjuna and the entire team of the film.
Producer and actress Avika Gor said that she began her Tollywood career with a film produced by Nagarjuna, whom she called a nice human being. It was a first for her and Raj Tarun. "The makers of our first movie never affected my confidence even though I was a newcomer. I sincerely thank Nagarjuna garu for being here today. I am proud of 'Popcorn'. I was advised against becoming a producer. But I am proud of the risk I took. The Telugu audience have always loved my work. Their love fills me with confidence. I thank my producers and director. We all journeyed together because we trusted each other. The concept of this film is different. Everything about it is different. I thank the Telugu audience for always supporting me. 'Popcorn' is entirely different from my previous films," Avika added.
Hero Sai Ronak said, "I have always been a fan of 'Hello Brother'. I like Nagarjuna garu a lot. I am glad that he is today with us. The story of this film takes place in a lift. And it is going to draw your attention completely within 10 minutes. The climax will completely be edge-of-the-seat. I myself am thrilled about it. Avika Gor has got excellent timing, and working with her was a brilliant experience. Our producers' support can't be forgotten. I also thank Aditya Music today."
