What happens when one man refuses to give up his home while an entire housing society is ready for a new beginning? This interesting conflict forms the heart of ‘Last Man in Tower’, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Boman Irani and Divya Dutta. The film is set to premiere on Hindi ZEE5 on November 6, 2026.

Produced by Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media and directed by Ben Rekhi, the film is based on Aravind Adiga’s popular novel of the same name.

Set in Mumbai, the story revolves around Yogesh Mishra (Manoj Bajpayee), a retired teacher who refuses to leave his apartment despite an attractive redevelopment offer. While the other residents agree to the proposal, Yogesh decides to stand firm, creating a major conflict within the society.

As tensions rise, personal interests, financial needs and emotional attachments begin to affect relationships between neighbours. Sangita Puri (Divya Dutta), who hopes for a better future for her family, finds herself on the opposite side of Yogesh. Meanwhile, developer Dharmen Shah (Boman Irani) tries to move the redevelopment project forward.

The film explores the emotional connection people share with their homes and the challenges that come with changing times. It also highlights how money, personal ambitions and different expectations can change relationships and turn neighbours into rivals.
