Rashmika Mandanna Launches ‘Annapurna’ Initiative to Support 400 Families for a Year; Co-Star Vijay Deverakonda Applauds the Move
Drawing inspiration from her on-screen role as Jayamma in the upcoming film Ranabaali, actress Rashmika Mandanna has rolled out a major philanthropic campaign named Annapurna.
Under this initiative, Rashmika has already distributed three months' worth of essential provisions to 400 families across eight different locations. She confirmed plans to extend this assistance quarterly, pledging full support to these households for an entire year so they can redirect their routine grocery expenses toward long-term savings.
Explaining her decision to go public with the cause, Rashmika noted that while she previously preferred to keep her charitable work private, she chose to share details of the Annapurna program in the hope of encouraging others to give back.
Her Ranabaali co-star, Vijay Deverakonda, praised the effort on social media, commending her consistent generosity and pointing out how vital such relief is for vulnerable communities facing severe climate and economic hardships.
Ranabaali, featuring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, arrives in cinemas worldwide on October 16.
